One Brick Palette From the Exterior to the Dining Room
The photographs show the actual finished cladding at the Sergio’s Pinecrest location. Outside, mixed-tone Old Chicago brick covers tall facade elements, entry walls and the covered patio. The exterior also uses the brick in more than one orientation, including a herringbone field near the restaurant sign and horizontal courses across larger wall surfaces.
Inside, the same material wraps structural-looking columns, frames wall openings and continues as illuminated lintels above the banquette seating. Warm reds, browns, creams and weathered faces work with the restaurant’s dark ceiling, wood details, artwork and gray upholstery to create a layered interior without changing material at every zone.
What the Completed Project Shows
- Commercial-scale continuity: one masonry palette connects the building exterior, patio and dining room.
- Multiple bond patterns: straight courses, vertical accents and an exterior herringbone field create variation with the same brick.
- Detailed interior transitions: the brick wraps columns and openings instead of ending at flat feature walls.
- Restaurant-ready finish: lighting, artwork, seating and service areas are integrated around the completed masonry.
- Real local proof: the project can be seen at a public Pinecrest restaurant location.

Why Old Chicago Brick Fits a Restaurant Interior
Restaurant cladding has to work at several viewing distances. From outside, the color variation gives the facade a recognizable texture. Inside, the individual weathered faces remain visible beside guests and seating, while the repeated material helps a large dining room feel connected.
Every commercial project requires a project-specific review. Substrate, fire and building requirements, openings, service areas, corners and work sequencing all affect the final scope, so we inspect the property before preparing a written proposal.
